FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Vintage Print Sale
Tacoma, WA - May 16, 2018 - Christopher Petrich will host a private sale and viewing of his extensive collection of vintage prints of Tacoma during the month of June 2018. Christopher created large format photographs of his home town for 20 years from 1990 through 2010. These are rich, beautifully crafted silver images processed for permanence. Vintage prints are made within a year of the photographs create date. Christopher's usual practice was to print within a few days or weeks of exposure. There are at most six prints per image; most images have three or fewer prints. Since this is a private viewing and sale, those interested should send a request for an appointment to firstname.lastname@example.org by May 30, 2018. Appointment times are limited.

Fallen To Earth, A New Show This Fall
Tacoma, WA - October 2, 2014 - My Fallen To Earth collection will show at The American Art Company gallery in Tacoma from October 10 through November 30. The show runs as a part of the gallery's Metal-Merged exhibit, a tie-in to Metal-Urge, a city-wide metal arts event. I am really excited that my work of natural, organic objects is paired with metal sculpture, and the gallery is treating my collection as its own exhibit. These eight photographs are recent work selected from my growing collection of pictures of leaves, stones, and other things that have passed down to the ground. They are styled as sharp bright images with the color palette that is particular to the Pacific Northwest, but unlike many Northwest collections, the images are bathed in sunlight rather than mist. These pieces are entirely original. They are large, framed to 36x26 in Douglas Fir that I milled in my shop from hand-picked stock, some of which I found locally as reclaimed old growth lumber.
