"...intrepid spirits seek victory over those things that seem impossible…
It is with an iron will that they embark on the most daring of all endeavors… to meet the shadowy future without fear and conquer the unknown."

Statement

I believe in found beauty. I pursue the moment's grandeur through simplicity of design and I wait for the moment of rest and concentration. There are times when I photograph by intuition, without composing consciously, when I am gripped by feeling. I carefully hold intersecting lines and shapes in tension and those few people present in my landscapes are kept distant and unaware.

Style
These are straight photographs.

Method
I shoot in film, mostly large format from Kodak, Ilford, and Fuji. I enlarge my black and white shots on silver fiber-base paper from Ilford. I process by hand, tone, wash, and air-dry my black and white prints according to strict archival guidelines.

Along with film, I capture color using a Leica M system, the finest digital camera system in the world. My exhibition color photographs are printed on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Baryta paper using pigment inks. Very large black and white and color prints are printed to Fine Art Rag paper.
